Second cavalry addition to my French army: cuirassiers by Italeri. A classic, many times shown in this forum, better painted than mine. Yet, Nappy cavalry always rock; mine too :mrgreen:

Please, Mr. Andrea, don't be so modest. Certainly, these fantastic Zvezda Cuirassiers have appeared more times in the forum, but hard to believe that better painted than yours. They are simply fantastic. Congratulations. :love:

Bravo!

Their straight swords were 8 inches longer than that of the British heavy cavalry giving them a clear poking advantage in such a battle jab of survival.
Theses can also be used to portray other Napoleonic country`s too. BB

Fantastic painting bringing these guys to life.

I think the helmet peaks should be black not silver but lovely in any case.

Agreed with everyone - an absolutely fabulous display! We need more of Mr. Andrea's work here in the forum. I love the colours. And the details are perfect. The braiding on the Trumpeter is just one thing I'd pick out. :thumbup:

Interesting! I wonder if longer swords are more difficult to fence with on the battlefield? Shorter swords would be lighter and easier to wield. Personally, I prefer a weapon I could use to keep people at bay at a very very very long distance indeed.

He can not only paint Acients. Very cool painted unit, Andrea. I have only painted three of them for a duel, But I think I loose...against you :mrgreen:

A very impressive sight, a very nice set made even better by a wonderful paint job. Figures and horses are both excellent.

The armour has a very solid steel look to it, there is a very nice effect on the flowing horsehair manes and one day I hope I'll paint a grey horse that looks that good. :yeah:

Beautiufully painted! I would agree, I have seen these many times, but I'm not sure I would agree that they were better painted.
