Vienna 1683 - In the vineyards

Hello!

The next part of my Vienna 1683 series is done. This time I decided to present the fighting in the vineyards on the western side of Vienna. Polish infantry rushing down the hills and meet Jannisaries. The surrounding is quite unusual but it really happened.

Vineyards look a little different then today, the method of cultivation changed over the years - in fact it only changed after the second world war from low to high culture. The vine grapes are made of wire, glue, paint and some foliage from Noch. The grapes itself out of wire, curry powder and a some paint.

Very nice figures and something new to learn too. Very nice! The Jannisaries look a bit small, but I realise why. Orion is a bit smaller than Zvezda. And the Streltsi from Zvezda is much easier to get than the Strelets ones (I know that Peter have a good collection of the Strelets Streltsi, but that is probaly just him). I just wonder why you didn't use the Zvezda Jannisaries, I can guess at a couple of very good answers though. Orion had better poses for this, Zvezda were already used elsewhere, you haven't bought them yet. Anyhow, very nice to see your vineyards!

I don't use the Zvezda Jannisaries against the Streltsi, because they are much too large. And with the high cap even larger. The Orion guys fit better.

Orion Jannisaries: 23 mm
Zvezda Jannisaries: 25 mm
Zvezda Streltsi: 24 mm

Wonderful exotic and colourful scene. Beautifully painted figures, the shading and dust staining of the clothing is excellent. Great composition, lots of action and super modeling of the vinyard. The backgrounds are blended in seamlessly too.

Really enjoyed seeing this.
