Posted by FredG on 23 Dec 2018, 20:55

I've finished the first set of my Fusiliers. They're not perfect but they'll do very nicely.

Huge output of nice painted Fusiliers.
And they are all accurate, in rank and file.

Very nice indeed Mr Fred.

You have breathed life into these Hat chaps.

Best wishes,

How did you get the grass to look like that on the bases? It looks fantastic.

If the grass doesn't behave, he electrocutes it.

Those impecably drilled ranks of soldiers standing to attention look very smart indeed Fred; but I do like a firing line, and those action figures are terrific. Very nicely done.

The static grass applicator does make a lovely job on the bases, but is that grass different to the standard static grass, it seems to have a broader leaf.

I'm afraid that isn't static grass. It's simply flock.

Apply a thick coating of PVA and stand in a box of flock for an hour. It levels things off very nicely and hides the bases.

Will these do as command Peter?

A couple of metal figures I ordered as samples for size. The detail. unfortunately .isn't good enough though to warrant a bigger order . They should be ok to plonk at the back of a battalion or two methinks. :-D

They will do for now Fred! ;-)

Oh and stop stealing Mrs G her herbs out of the kitchen! Take something else for flocking! On the other hand, your figures must smell well!

Very cool firing line. it is really a shame that we have no opponents with this unique style from HäT the other figures are all from another modeller. But as I already said I really like the Prussians from the 1806 HäT range.

The second half of the firing line is finished.

These are from the first and second Battalions of the 2nd East Prussian Brigade.
Left - 21st Battalion
Right - 23rd Battalion

Putting the firing line together gives , I believe, quite a good looking group.

Added to the Grenadier ( finished) and Musketeer ( unstarted) firing lines it should be a mini spectacle ( I hope).

I hope you enjoy them.

I just noticed that one of them appears to be a replacement from the Brigade's 2nd Battalion, I'll sort that :-D
