As a hands on scratch builder come artist author you will always have something to do that costs Pennies not Pounds. The self teaching aspect of ones own mind is certainly a gift we all have. The little gift of passing info on aids and encourages others of all age groups too. Keep the arts and craft hobby-style work ongoing. It can be quite messy, but boys will be boys! BB

Yes Boys can be Boys, but this ones a Girl, and at 62 years old I found the converting of the fort was hard work but well worth the effort, it's a good way of learning being on the forum, I for one have learned loads on here and in groups on Facebook since I got back into model making after a 30 year break. All I can say is Happy Modelling to everyone!

I think it's going to be on that table for a while. it's safe where it is. well I hope it is, I use the dinning room table for my model making anyway, I just don't have a lot of room now to build anything much.

I really like your Milecastle, it looks excellent and the figures in various activities really breath life into it.

I espescially like the camp scene with the bread oven, and piled arms, and the off duty Legionaries. And the buildings inside the fort are great! Also, I just really like Milecastles.

It turned out quite well, I'm not one for doing battle dioramas, thought it would look better showing everyday life. Must admit living here in the UK, never been up to see Hadrian's Wall, something I can add to my bucket list I guess.

I really do believe Hadrian's Wall and those mile forts really neat.

I grew up in Britain and never had the chance to go to most of the historic sites I really wanted to see.

I'm glad I've had the chance to spend a few holidays catching up. Hadrians Wall is something I'd recommend for anyone's bucket, I loved it.

Was Napoleon the name of the local farm wall and barn builder? I didn't know that.

I know a lot of the stone went to build General Wade's road. Which is sad, but Wade's road does give lots of options for exploring as much of the wall as possible in the time you've got.
