Trimotion

Posted by Captain Sibourne on 03 Mar 2019, 15:50

Dear Forum Members,

I've been working hard on the building at Waterloo just to the south of La Belle Alliance, Trimotion. I've now got four battalions of Guard on these two sections of my diorama - with ancillary troops about 2,000 figures.

You can see more on my blog at: http://generalpicton.blogspot.com

Hope you like it!

Impressive combination of terrain and vast numbers of bods. Keep us up to date on future progress.

That's a bit more than an 80 x 80mm base

Thanks all, this certainly took a bit of effort. For anyone who is interested and either lives in the UK or is willing to travel, I am convening a seminar to look at how a 1 to 1 20mm model of Waterloo might be constructed. Let me know and I will issue an invitation.

This is really awe-inspiring. I would be happy to get 1 % of these figure numbers here painted for my next diorama ...

Excellent work in the 'Grand manner'.

There is a lot going on here and I know how hard you have researched the subject matter.

Some of the scenes have a War and peace feel about them and those carriages are wonderful.

Best wishes,

Chris

Magnificent! The groundwork alone is very impressive, but the buildings and figures are just beautiful.

Many thanks all, it's been fun to do, but hard work. My next project is Hougoumont - I have the buildings but need to put them on the scenery and add troops!
