A Grizzly in Grand Teton NP

Posted by stenfalk on 08 Mar 2019, 14:25

I don't want write much text today. Rather, I just want to show you three new photos whose protagonists I painted again by my own hands. These are the two Celtic-Germanic landrace pigs 011-7 and 012-2 as well as the Highlander cows 005-7 and 006-1.

The cows are only embedded in a photo, the pigs are arranged on a small vignette base of DioHistory. These practical little sets provide a very good ground for quick and valuable results for the presentation of figurines. However, I did not build my vignette directly out of box, but changed it in different places. I would be very pleased if you liked my small contributions.

All very nice. The cows look really good but I especially like the bottom picture of the pig, great colouration and the vignette base is very well painted, the scrap timber and stonework look so realistic.

I also see that the pig in the fourth photograph has black markings that form the number 301. A secret message of some kind?

I really like those contributions. I think your growing range of animals, including a number of quite unusual breeds/races that are not offered elsewhere, is a great service for the 1/72 community!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am very happy about the nice comments about my posts. This, of course, is a great motivation to continue following my path - and always staying a bit unpredictable.

I especially thank you very much. The "301" really made me laugh. I can not tell you how this fur marking was created. What I only can remember is that I was in a trance while I was painting, feeling that a higher power would hold my hand. Unfortunately, therefore I can't decrypt the message... :eh: :-D

Well what is your address? Don't write it here, just thinking of possible clues...

I think I decipher this highly taxing code.
First you have to choose the hexadecimal of 301 this is 12D
Take the cross total of 12. It is three. Add the D.
3D.
This means in the picture you see a 2D pig.
But in reality it is:
3D.

Dam, I am good !

:joker:

Or this pig is simply a fan of Gerhard Barkhorn.
