Absolutely beautifully painted troops. What you have done to these chinless chaps is astounding.

However, I Am not sure about the collar colours and the pink Pom poms unless they represent something a bit unusual.

Line infantry apart from Voltigeurs had red collars I thought. The company Pom poms did not normally include pink, although the Grenadiers were red.

Sorry, they do look good and your painting skill is exceptional.

Hi Chris, thanks for your kind words. They do have red collars, only I guess their blue edge mess up a bit in the pic (I couldn't not manage a thin line). I followed this patterns http://centjours.mont-saint-jean.com/uniformes_uniteFR.php?uniformes=1&drapeau=12RI.png, where the 4th company has a violet pompon.
And you are on the grenadiers' pompon: it should be right, an oversight of mine

as I told you personally: Wonderful figs. And in contrast to others I do not think they have no chin, but a high collar. But this might be a personal point of view. The violet pompoms fits well to the Chasseurs a cheval and their facing colour. Interesting that you gave them the same pompon. I would have changed the colour to represent every company even in a small wargaming unit. No critics!! Only another possible solution! Will you use the other flags or eagles for additional units. As far as I know one regiment has only one eagle with a flag.

I really like your painting skills and the groundwork is also very convincing. I am looking forward to see more unit that can be beaten by the Prussian 1st Corps.

It pays to have a good camera,by this I mean an affordable one or two, or the three I happen to use each day. Mrs B, has an Apple i pad that takes great photographs too. Yes I believe if one takes hours and hours out from ones daily life a decent camera is a worthy addition to have. I realise lots of you guys use Cell phones, and if one is happy to post the results on this Forum, that`s real cool too. So do come join us as members and enjoy what extra is on offer, in way of English comments and banter too.

To improve your English, is far better than i learning Dutch so I can speak direct to Remco.

I remember painting all those French poses seen above in plastic years ago when they first came out on the market place. Although being no great artist I intentionally blanked out the faces and did not paint the buttons either, but I admire the work others undertake who do such a spiffy shinny job of it. All those figures above are painted beautiful true blue and rather delightful cool.

I like that! Now I need to watch a video clip of a native Italian speaker pronouncing that expression so I can practice it. But wouldn't having a loving couple collaborate on a project draw them even closer together?
