Speira Miniatures "Victorians"

This is our first line of civilians depicting 19th century victorians, we will add more and screens are coming this week. The Jack the ripper figures also belong to this line and they have been presented in another thread. If this line sells well we will work on civilian subjects for other eras too. But for now enjoy.

The buggy the boy especial and the poor mum with her baby are going into the direction of my modelling timeline very well.

I am pretty sure civil people of the 30ies to the 40 ties will go well.
Refugees like Preiser has done. Playing kids with her toys of that time.

I think Wiking is right. But imho the late 19th Century might not be as attractive for many people dealing also with the ACW and the Nappy era e.g.. I would not judge the success of civilian figure by the results of these figs. Civilians are rare and attractive since I am in the hobby. It goes without saying, I really like your new creations! The mother and the children are very lifelike.

I like the era, but the figures are too beautiful. I like a more raggy look to them. It gives them more life. And if they are raggy enough I can put them in the Wild West! Preiser have made figures for this era (have them, though they are of course a bit small) and I think our friend BB have figures from another company. Anyhow, Wiking is right, we do need civilians who do something! The trolley (??? barnvagn!!! ) is a very nice idea! There are A LOT of pictures of people from this era so go on!

Fantastic, for me as a non violent figures lover I must say that I always are looking for figures like these.
About the period, yeah could be more useful to have figures who fit in more periods.
A woman with child is also in Wild West, or WW1, or WW2 etc.
So 19th century I get it, but I personal would try to make them useful for more periods.

Hi traveller
The output rate and the style of your figures is really impressive. Then, I still have some trouble - don’t laugh - they are so perfect. In a way it obliges to go to perfection everywhere, painting, setting etc. For many it is a dream come true, for me it is a kind of barrier. I like the imperfection or even toyish appearance of most figures.
Of course, I do not want to spoil any pleasure, more like suggesting to think of recreating more compatibility with existing figures... right now I am painting the DDS Orcs
Just thoughts and keep your creativity

We can always modify these to be less attractive just like the French revolutionaries, though some of these are upper/middle classes and would of course have nice clothes. We have a few other figures from other classes that are less well dressed that we will be showing soon.

Up to Michael Robert`s input -they are so perfect.

For all fighting figures in all timelines I miss the damages of clothes, armor, weapons, etc.
This is the only figure I know with battle damaged cloths (left leg) in 1/72.





I see that SPEIRA react of the given input of the forum members.
As seen for the Citizens of the revolution.
