Hi folks! It's been a while since I posted someyhing that I've done. This is my latest finished vignette (started in Feb 2017! http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=20086&hilit=Nock), hope you like it :-D

What did you use for bowstrings?

And are the arrows in the ground scratchbuilt?

Very nice indeed Ray. The painting and shading are terrific and I think the mud sticking to the clothing is very effective.

The groundwork is great, it's good to see the wet mud because it did play a significant role on that battlefield.

Bluefalchion, the strings were made from stretched sprue and the arrows made from acupuncture needles 0.2mm gauge and Green stuff.

That certainly is a very fine wire, and plastic sprue stretching achievement. :thumbup:

I think you need to wash your thumb. There is white paint on it! :mrgreen:

Yep, we all like the strings - and the figures! That acupuncture bow strings show a real dedication to your art and work very nicely too.

Peter, my next project is planned to consist of about 13 to 15 figures and horses, so you do the math ;-)

If you quickly view the photo, it may seem that this is a scale of 54 mm, and the figures and the color are so high-quality!

Well, I stared at Ray's vignette for about 30 minutes and thought they were 54 mm all the way through...

Ray, It's clear that it has been worth waiting all this time to enjoy your master piece. I agree they seem 54mm figures. :thumbup:
