British ADC's and Foot Artillery conversions

Posted by Bill Slavin on 16 Jun 2019, 16:00

I haven't posted for a while but finally got around to photographing some recent projects.
I had wanted to try my hand at converting some figures to ADC's, not really needed on my gaming table but nice to place on board scurrying here and there with new orders. They also have subbed as command figures on more than one occasion.
I also did a conversion of the Italeri Horse Artillery set to foot artillery. More pictures can be seen here on my blog.

Hi Bill.

More food for thought here and great work too!

I love the ADC galloping along, a real treat.

You are right about the foot artillery. I built my own as the choice was a bit thin although the Hagen chaps are good.

Keep up the excellent work.

Wonderful!

I love the mounted ADCs made from Scots Greys, Great ideas and very well done.

I've used some of those horses for conversions because you get a bunch of spare ones with the Italeri British/Prussian Staff set, but what you've done with the figures is a real eye opener.

Your foot artillery figures look terrific too. Great post.

Amazing work, Bill, both the conversions themselves and the paint job on them.

Best regards.

Thanks all. I always balk at showing the figures close up as the paint job falls apart, but its really the only way to show what is going on. But they always look so much nicer at two feet distance!

They look pretty great to me at the distance you have shown them.

I second that. The modification of the Scots Grey is really great. Very dynamic result.

Very well done, Bill. I like them all. These conversions work excellently, the horse to foot artillery in particular.
