Thanks :-D , but it's just the most basic painting technique : base coat, wash and some layers of highlights.

This week I want to present something a bit different - section of American 101st Airborne Paratroopers in m42 uniform. They come from Esci set.

Looking fantastic. I don't love the eyes but the rest is great.

In my experience, eyes are usually part of the way or all the way closed. So painting them looks better if you have a lot of eyelid covering a portion of the eyeball. And the skin of the eyeball tends to be a bit darker than the rest.

A real treat to see the oldies painted up fine and dandy.
The medieval guys wearing lots of iron and shields look rather superbly neat too. Cool BB

I paint eyes only to give the figures this cartoony look, but I can see the point. This time I painted modern military figures, and went for photo-realistic theme, so no eyes on this one ;-) .

I don't have a lot of time, so I'm going to quote my blog (I'm lazy as hell I know  )

There is a number of military conflicts being fought right now, and as in any war in history armies need mercenaries to fill up the numbers, that is when private military companies (such as Blackwater International) come in. Figures are from Caesar set. I went for different painting style (not my standard cartoony look), with less highlights and more grim colors, to reflect the fact that this type of soldiers fight and die right now all round the world.

It is Orctober, the month of the Orcs. When many 1/72 scale bloggers paint massive warbands of fantasy Orcs. I wanted to make some contribution to the overall horde, which might be hard considering I don't have a single Orc to paint!
Thankfully I had a bunch of DDS Landsknechts laying around, which would potencially make an effective Warhammer(ish) l Imperial force to oppose all the Orcs. It will be a small project, roughly 15 figures strong, all painted this month. We start with two Greatswords. Enjoy!
