Strelets French Cuirassiers in Winter Dress

Posted by MABO on 21 Sep 2019, 21:29

I have not as much time as I want for the hobby at the moment. So I was not very active. But today I can post at least some pictures from my newly based Strelets Cuirassiers.

I really like this set. There are some cool poses. Painting these guys happened some years ago, but in my project to base or rebase old figs, I finally made these four groups. I hope you like them.

I tested some new products to create snow. A combination of AK Terrains and Deluxe Materials. The tuffs are from Army painter.

Nice set-up Jan
your different coat colours give it a more Glorious or pompous aspect. Probably not your intention.

I like these sculpts as well

Cheers Michael

Great paint job on these cuirassiers, MABO... despite they are from Strelets. ;-)

My best regards. :yeah:

Kudos! You know I am not a fan of old Strelets figures; but your paintjob on these figures converted them into something very special. Now, I am also considering of buying them.

You are a better painter than me, Andrea, so they will look pretty in the end. I lke the whole "winter gear range" of Strelets Nappies.

Very successful presentation and beautiful painting!
A better result one can not be achieved from this old strelets set.
Great job!

These look great, MABO. They have a real campaign look to them and you have done a great job. Weighing in on the Strelets debate I admit to at one time finding them ungainly but I've grown to really like their character!

I am not a fan of these figures, but I am a fan of the guy who painted them! And the cool snowy terrain. Nice work.

There's few things I love to see more than to see beautifully painted Strelets Napoleonics in the snow (yes I have a number of these things). Never attempted their cuirassiers in winter dress but these look super. Snow is really good, I like that slushy wet look. Excellent work, Jan!
