Linear-A news & releases 2019

I try to keep away from the Ancients (haven't succeeded totally  ) just because I have to try to stop somewhere, but I'm very curious how the Prussians will look (I know I have left the Nappies, but I'm curious anyway! :-D ).

Linear-A is quite busy at the moment.
Just recently they announced a further set regarding high imperial roman period.
#032 - Trajans Legion vs. Dacians Set 1

Today they revealed a new additional “Mini Sets“-line within their product range.
#001s - Vigiles Urbani "Cohortes Vigilum"
#002s - Sacrifice before the battle
#003s - Legionary Recruits training

Also, a good number of previously announced sets have progressed considerably. (see above & links)

Again, excellent news for the somewhat neglected ancients buffs! :yeah:

Cohortes vigilum is the Roman police aka fire brigade (had to look that up).

I really wish LinearA a lot of succes and above all good sales!
Their figures are very nice, have good poses and are well researched. The choice of subjects is very original.
I only got a few running ancient projects, but when possible/when I think a set can be mixed with others without too much historical inaccuracies I will buy the new sets (or just for fun).

I mean: long live Strelets, but they are actually the only plastic manufacturer who delivers at the moment and that’s worrying.
Caesar is out, Waterloo1815 is out, Hat is moving very slowly (which is what it is, but it’s still a pity). Redbox/Alliance is the only other company. Only I don’t do fantasy.

Yeah yeah: I’m happy for the fantasy fans.
Btw: when will people finally raise a ‘PSR Fantasy site? (for I still keep an eye on all other new 1/72 sets and that includes centaurs and other fun stuff)

So, well: viva LinearA!
Buy them!

The figures look very good! I'm trying to stay out of ancients (I have my brush stuck in too many periods as it is), but the civilians look much too good to avoid buying! I also wish them all the best! Just remembered, dabbled a little in ancients too.

One of the recently unveiled Mini Sets is at an advanced stage already.

Cute set!
Well, a nice addition.
Since a good (‘the perfect’) Macedonian falanx set is still not made all future hopes are with LinearA. At least mine are.

Nice set indeed. It looks like an Etruscan haruspex. If I am right, it's a must buy for me, together with the upcoming Etruscan cavalry. And the Syracusans, the Tarantineos, the Samnites.....

I was completely wrong. Jan pointed out to me the right references for the set.
No problem: I'll do some conversion to fit it in an Etruscan context

Linear-A is continuously revealing more and more details of their future plans.
The most recently announced Mini Sets range includes 12 sets so far.

Apart from the previously designated sets 001s to 003s (see above), a further 5 are identified now.
004s - Waterloo after the Battle
007s - Roman Artillery Set 1, Ballista
008s - Roman Artillery Set 2, Onager
009s - Roman Artillery Set 3, Scorpio
010s - Hannibal vs. Scipio

As Paul already reported, after the earlier shown 002s - Sacrifice before the battle figures, another set moved forward.

003s - Roman Legionary Recruits Training

Without doubt, some exciting subjects here! :yeah:

It’s quite busy with news on the front that I almost oversaw this.
Onager!
Scorpio!
Ballista!
Good choices and finally someone is doing them. :notworthy:
Waterloo after the battle: Napoleon fleeing?
As always I wish it will have casualties, but a mini set is way too small for such set.

The Etruscans cavalry seems ready.

Another Mini set is announced:
Waterloo After the Battle set 2.
Set 1 is explicitly called a FRENCH disaster.
(what do you know! ;-) )
