Has anyone read any of Simon Scarrow´s books, the Eagle series about a centurion and an Optio of the LEG II AUGUSTA or the revolution series about
Napoleon Bonaparte and the duke of wellington? and is it true that there´s a television series based on the eagle books being made ?

I've read all his Roman books: his prose and plots can be a bit clunky at times, but they're great fun.
Incidentally, Warlord Games are bringing out 28mm character figures of his two heroes:

He is a terrible writer in the technical sense (clunky like you say mate), but manages to bring humour, charm and some gripping stories to the party so what else can you ask for? I recommend them, as long as you bear in mind its a story from the fiction section.

@ bilsonius, that´s where I saw them (I look at their site and think, "28mm??,, hmmmm) The new Dromedarii, sigh, why don´t they make them like that in 1/72 scale?
