Fusiliers-grenadiers de la garde

Posted by PhilC on 26 Jan 2020, 19:39

Good evening gentlemen. Here you are my last Napoleonic unit, some fusiliers-grenadiers of the Imperial Guard - a middle guard unit created in 1806 and disbanded in 1814, and attached to the Grenadiers à pied.

You can find more explanations and pictures, together with a small tutorial explaining how to paint white clothes - a copy from an old post here at Benno's but with the pictures inside, my previous host has disappeared.

I keep on thinking that painting twice the same mini is boring, but I must admit that a unit is usually more interesting to watch than a single figure

Those are beautifully, done, Phil. And I do like your whites, so subtlety done and effective!

Those fusiliers-grenadiers are really topnotch. I also really appreciate the painting tutorial. Unfortunately I do not have Citadel paints. Perhaps I will try it with sky grey.

Nice painted Frenchmen. I like these figures. So sorry they are unavailable at the moment.

Fantastic painting.

I have all sorts of problems with the plastic used here and hope that your chaps last longer than mine.

It is soul destroying to see your hard work literally crumble.

Fingers crossed.

Best wishes,

Chris

Wonderful figures, PhilC. You've done a very neat paintjob on them with great attention to detail, just as I like it.

Best regards. :-)

Santi.
