By popular request: siege of s Hertogenbosch more pics

Posted by paul haring on 24 Feb 2020, 20:41

OK, here are more pics of my diorama of the siege of 's Hertogenbosch during the eighty years war.

Image

figures are Revell 30-years war and Call to arms.
Gambions are made of Das-clay. I tried wire and pins, but that didn't satisfy me.

I tried to put a lot of movement in this diorama.

Picture of the first set up. I used cardboard. The horse and limber were not used. I made another dio with them.

The finished underground

Parapet is made from ironwire and metal pins. Covered with woodglue

It took me almost a year to finish this, but I'm really happy with the result.

Very clear and clean painting.

Real good to see this on display here, along with insight how the base-work was done.
Fluffed up cotton wool for a photo shoot will give even more movement to that gun firing. BB

Agree with everyone else, really nice work! There is a lot going on and it must have been fun putting it all together. Nicely painted figures-the Revell 30yw sets are some of the best around and you've done a really good job with them.
