Had some fun painting up a set of Strelets Old Guard Standing to Attention, recently -

And of course not forgetting - the Emperor Napoleon!!

I also created an absurd short video of the famous scene in Dino De Laurentiis' "Waterloo" film where Napoleon says farewell to his Old Guard. I'm sure you will agree with me that this is a clear improvement on the original scene in the film. Blame it on lock down conditions... :xd:

The figures, like the real thing, are full of character. And this is possibly the best mini-Napoleon I've seen.

I'd make a comment on the video but I'm still teared up & need to take a break.

I never dreamed this Strelets set could look this good. Fantastic little Napoleon too. Well done Marvin! Where is the emperor from (manufacturer)?

Hi Marvin…

I am not very fond of these Strelets releases with all the figures doing the same thing, but you make them look incredibly good. I like your stuff very much.

Many thanks for sharing

The emperor is part of the same set. I think the idea behind the set is that the figures in the set facilitate the scene in my video but I was a bit lazy and didn't paint the flag bearer dipping the flag.

Very nice as always Marvin. You've brought a lot of life and energy to what would otherwise be a fairly boring pose!!! I hope you still going on those WSS sets though as they were superb!

Thanks Rich. It's a brief sabbatical. Some French to do next methinks.

Once again I'm impressed with your work... or this is because of isolation (like prisoner who sees woman after long time) :xd: :xd: :xd:

i am not sure if I will ever understand how you can dry-brush without making it look like you have dry-bushed. Remarkable work as always.
