Gauls, Ancient Germans, Britons HaT Caesar Italeri

Finished up a bunch of, well Rome would call them barbarians but Romans called anyone not them barbarians, figures for the upcoming Too Fat Lardies release Infamy, Infamy. Way too many figures for the game but I usually put on convention games so need enough toys for everyone. These figures were a long story as I had them done and then sealed them when it was too humid and got the dreaded frost effect making them look like burnt match heads. Several brush on varnishes, olive oil, and another spray got them back to normal. First batch of 1/72 I've ever painted since I was a kid. Honestly a fun experience and work is underway on cavalry and chariots now.

I love the grimy, washed-out look of the flesh and metals. Did you use that Armypainter Quickshade? The big can you dip minis in?

Process is to prime white, block paint, use Minwax Antique Walnut brushed on with a one inch brush until it pools ever so slightly at the feet(not dipped) spray matte seal to kill the gloss, highlights, seal again. These went off the rails because that final seal ‘frosted’ so some work was lost.

I agree with everybody, TwoGunBob. You have done a great paintwork on these fantastic Celt figures from Caesar and Italeri (I haven't found none from Hät in your close ups).
