by today I have finished my "longest" diorama so far (1,3 meters). It shows a German "Einheitspanzerzug" BP 42 pattern, Italy or Balkans 1944.To be more precise, the real train was exact double as long as my model.

The train had also two armored track cars, for reccon purposes. Normally These were French Panhards but I used an Italian one….(better model by Italeri).
The Lok, Geschützwagen and Flakwagen are from Hobby Boss (very good quality). They also provide the tracks and the base.

It took me about 80-90 hours to build it. One big problem was the connection between the different brand vehicles. Mostly they don´t fit very well. So I had to use a bit "camouflage" to hide it.
There are quite little historic sources about these trains….it was nevertheless interesting to learn something about it.
A real benefit were the Preiser figs from different sets. These are hard plastic, quite fiddly to build but they have a good potential for conversions and the relaxed poses, eating lunch are just great.
