Very cool diorama. I actually have some boots just like the figure standing in front of the jeep is wearing.

Agreed, it's a great diorama. Highly original! The figures look like they may be your own sculpts, or at least conversions?

Thanks fellows.
on the figures.
The one in front is a figure from Italeri, from the German paratroopers kit in a tropical uniform, what I did was remove the cap and replace it with a dinghy hat, put on sunglasses and some chnges in the face to looks like a person with black skin, remove the jacket and sculpt the shirt and belt, replace the mauser with a sports rifle (not well seen in the photo) and then add pockets to the pants and a machete and added a sportier sole to the boots, to make them look like Bluefalchion's boots .

The figures behind are basically the ones from Svezda's kit of German medical personnel. With many conversions, replace helmets by caps, military jackets by shirts or sports jackets, the legs of the one who is running are of a figure of the British 8th Army (Kit esci) and again a sports rifle with a telescopic sight.

Any way, to be honest, I don't care much about the figures. I just wanted to make the vehicle and something to put around it. I was concentrated for a long time in civilian vehicles, wath was new experience for me, experiencing techniques and stuff.
Fourtunatey the civilian vehicles fever is leaving and Im back to figures so I'll be bugging on the Benno's home again more often.

Great composition, great landscape, great figure conversions and great vehicle, Carlos. The latter is the center of the scene and you've done an amazing job with it

I'm also also interested in recent times in 1/72 scale civil vehicles. I just finished the first one. As soon as I take pictures of it I will post them here. ;-)

My best regards.

Odd to say that you don't care much about the figures when you have made several seamless and professional conversions on each of them! I hope I can get to a point where I do not care much about figures, and can do so with your skill level.

And thanks for making the boots look like mine! :D

Santi, Since I found a way to scale 1/64 to 1/72 and scale die cast cars (hotwheels, matchbox, Johny Ligthning) I have not stopped making civilian vehicles. Cars, trucks, civilians, post apocalyptic mad max style, racing, whatever. Once you can get off scala those cars you can mix them with the figures and everything we have in 1/72. I will never tire of encouraging colleagues to try it, it is a new modeling universe that opens up. Take a tour of my Blog and you will see many vehicles that I have been doing.
Its adictive.

Uf, Sberry, thanks for remind me that I must make pictures of the last figure I have just finished for my Pope and Swiss Guard diorama. It's the first of the Swiss halberdiers.

Well, I think the Popemobile is too difficult to get for me. But perhaps, after studying Carlos' way to scale 1/64 to 1/72 and make die cast cars, I will try it. :winky:

Thank you for your help, Carlos, you have a very interesting blog, I will look at it carefully as soon as I can.

Best regards.
