7ème cuirassier Français Zvezda réf:8037

Posted by raph86 on 28 Aug 2020, 08:38

Hello, this is my last series.
French cuirassiers from Zvezda that I had a lot of fun painting.
I am not satisfied with the rendering of the horses with the blond mane and I will redo them in black. hope you like it.

You have done an awesome paintjob on these fantastic Zvezda figures, raph86. I love them.

I agree with you, think that horses' blond manes will look better in black. ;-)

My very best congratulations. :yeah:

Santi.

You seem to highlight the way I highlight, haha. For example, when highlighting black, I do standard edge grey highlights but dot some white on the extreme points, I see very bright raised areas.

Very clean, solid whites, and I think you're correct, the blonde horse manes are too blonde, I usually make my blondes more 'bone,' or cream, with white for extreme edge highlighting.

That is some great painting! I would agree with the opinions on the blond mane and tail - I usually opt for a beige. But small potatoes - your painting is amazingly crisp.

Wonderfully painted little soldiers ...
I love these Zvezda cuirassiers, they are so beautifully modeled
with a wealth of details and very dynamic.
With your excellent painting all this comes into its own!
