Les grognards - Old Guard - Revell

I have finally found the time to take some pictures of the new entry in my Grande Armée. Pictures are note really good, but...who cares? The goal here is to control the advance of Jan's Prussians, before they get too many and too close. No pasaran!

I really like this set! And you did a great paintjob, of course. Nice to see them finally finished. What is the next part of the french army? Strelets infantry?

Very nicely done Mr Andrea. They look particularly menacing in their overcoats for some reason. The set splits up nicely for skirmishers on the front in a single row and the regiment in double rows behind. Revell did an outstanding job giving us the mounted officer along with the other command figures. Did the sapper come with the set or did you have to create one? ( I donated mine to the Plancenoit project).

Thanks Jan! It's been not easy painting all these grognards, so many....so frustrating.
I need something smaller, a work I can see the end pretty close in time. Therefore, I'll work on this

Very nice painting indeed.

The Revel figures are beautiful but unfortunately are so very small.

A shame for such giants In both stature and reputation.

I think it is a good paint job and these figures from revell are good but require a good hand to paint.
