Project Ripcord: A Vietnam Fire Support Base in 1/72 scale

Doesn't look like this project has been posted here before. I ran across it while perusing another modeling site:

The site chronicles (in great detail!) the creation of a 8' x 12' (~2.4m x 3.6m) diorama of a hilltop fire support base during the Vietnam War. Lots of interesting techniques used, including resin casting and 3D printing of many items not otherwise available in 1/72.

The effort and imagination has to be seen to be believed and whilst the ‘turning’ of pages is a bit tedious it is well worth the effort.

I think the Chinook might have been better served with a sturdy lifting wire rather than the plastic stick but it’s all excellent.

The detail is marvellous and there is a real ‘feel’ of the conflict with the yellows etc.

Well done to the team.
