Apologies for the "greenish" hue to the pics. Never use a photo editor late at night with tired eyes. Ha!
Peter, here are the closer shots of the figs. Thanks.
Chris, I guess the Ostwind being there was left up to the artist's perogative. Thanks.
raph86, that is the very same pamphlet I used to recreate this diorama. Thanks.
Gum Smith, thanks and sorry for the green tinge.
Bluefalchion, those are not German helmets, just badly molded ESCI plastic.
Bill, thanks. The comms jeep was copied from the Shep Paine pamphlet.
Back story: This was a diorama made for an Armorama group build honoring Shep Paine. Rules. Use only basic modeling techniques. No resin, P.E., or turned aluminum. Also, no kits made after 1996.
First problem, there are no 1/72 Ostwind kits prior to 1996. I used the ESCI Wirbelwind kit as the basis kit. I scratch built the Ostwind turret and cannon. The communications jeep was converted by me from a Hasegawa kit. All details are copied from the pamphlet. The figures are from ESCI, Airfix, and Revell. Ruins are made from foam core board, balsa wood, and paper stock. The rubble was various Woodland Scenics ballast and tallus.
Thanks for viewing this again. Happy modeling.
Bill
