2020 Advent Calendar

Posted by PhilC on 01 Dec 2020, 12:53

Hi, fellow painters.

Looking at the set of minis painted this year, I realized that:
- I mainly chose my figures not to include them in an army, but just because I had a color scheme in mind
- I've painted more figures than I thought
- I have enough single figures or small units to create a new post every day

So this year, I've decided to publish an Advent Calendar on my blog, to show new figures everyday, and to display the pictures in this topic.

So today, day 1:
Image

In a winter atmosphere, two Swiss Halberdiers ready to fight against the army of the Duke of Burgundy in 1477, near the walls of Nancy.

See you tomorrow for the next picture ;-)

Excellent idea and a lovely scene.

Too cold for fighting though, I think they're cutting firewood. :-D

I'll definitely look in tomorrow to see more of this. :yeah:

Would it be acceptable if I ate one of my advent calendar chocolates each time I view your advent calendar figure displays?

Thank you all for your kind comments!
In order to allow Bluefalchion to eat his chocolate early this morning, I post the picture for Day 2 as early as I can (7:26 AM in France  ).

Day 2: the return of the Sea People

At the end of the 13th century BC, the Sea People began to raid the coasts of Egypt. Who will stop these fierce men ?

Hi! Thank you all for commenting this topic, it's really appreciated. I know that I am not a very regular contributor, but I must say that this forum is the one that looks the more like home, and I feel happy to be part of this skillful and enthusiastic community.

Hmm, it's time to give our friend Bluefalchion a chance to eat one more chocolate. For the next window, let's go to the Caribbean sea and Fantasy.
