Battle of Roliça

Posted by Bill Slavin on 06 Dec 2020, 22:13

I know this isn't really the place to post battle reports, but we just finished playing this Peninsular war scenario and I got to trot out all of my Peninsular buildings etc. that I have shared on this forum. I thought the game really photographed quite well - here are a few pictures.
If you are interested, the full After Action report with a lot more pictures can be seen here on my blog:

Great battle report, Bill, using your fantastically painted Peninsular War figures.

Very nice as always Bill.

The terrain, especially for a war game is exceptional and the figures as we know are excellent.

There is a ‘feel’ of the peninsular with your work .

Best wishes,

Chris

Excellent! Very nice countryside, in spite of these hundreds of nasty little creatures burning everything in the area

Thanks, all. Did I mention my newly painted HaT British light dragoons didn’t last past Turn 2? Typical - don’t get to know the new guy...

Hi Bill,
pictures full of atmosphere. The ndividual units were great, the whole spectacle with scenery and story is greater. Very nice painting, houses and tress extra and the pictures give a good rendering. To me the pictures are often the hardest part.
Keep on
Cheers
Michael

Thank you, Michael. Building scenery almost gives me as much pleasure as painting the figures and playing the game.
