GSF - how it began

Hi everyone,
now i made some pics of 2 of my oldest figures i built based on Preiser-Figures. When the first two sets of Preiser multipart sets came out, i was jealously looking 1/35 scale Dragon hard plastic sets and started building some of these sets in 1/72 with Preiser Tank crews and Luftwaffe figures. Weapons and equipment i took from Preiser Fallschirmjäger set. As there were only ammo puches for MP 40 but none for Kar98k and no heads with helmets for infantry i also took some heads and ammo pouches from RoCo 1/87 marching infantry. Their heads are quite big for 1/87 so it looks ok for me. MG 42 i took from Al.By Sd.Kfz. 251 resine kit.
These figs are built after Dragon Panzerlehr-Dision Normandy 1944:









This one is built after Arnhem picture of Kampfgruppe Harder soldiers, my first try on this figures, before i thaught of casting them in resine.











I don`t know, how old these figs are, but i think 25 years or older.

25 years old or older? Fantastic realistic poses and authentic equipment, leaving the available mass-produced plastic options, available at the time, in the dust.

Hello GumSmith,
these figures are extremely well proportioned and sculpted. Didn't know this quality existed 25 ago, but then I was not really in the hobby then; just knew the Airfix and Atlantic from my childhood.

Great job on these old figures. It is a bit of nostalgic fun to look back and see how far one has developed.
