The important questions in this army I do my 12 months duty are:
How long does it takes to the NATO Pause ( 9.30 am start) ?
How many can of beer fit in a Leopard gun ?

One of the questions during my service time in the Bundeswehr was......can you survive canned corned beef that was produced over 10 years ago? And.....did I loose any part of my rifle in field for it was produced at the time my father was an teenager?

Great work panzerman! A topic not seen very often . The tank looks superb.

Some details about the Bundeswehr uniform in the 80s....they didn´t have camo covers for the helmets, only nets as far as I know….and the sand coloured bags should have a olive green color. I think it is the hated "ABC-Tasche" with gas mask , poncho, gloves and the mysterious first aid kit with the special decontamination soap, that washes off your skin too.

Hi Bill,
Thomas is right with bag and webbing, it was NATO olive, like the uniform and helmet. Older Seargent wear washed out uniforms which look green-gray more than olive.
But i had an camo cover for my helmet, it was worn by some soldiers which happily organized it on some dark channels. I got mine from a soldier leaving our company because end of his service. And when i left in 1989 i gave mine to another soldier that just started his tour. It was made of some old uniform stuf from early times of german federal army.

Your Diorama is real excellent, M 48 looks like beeing in service for some years but maintenance was always done carefully . I like him a lot, real nice one. Jerry can on side is american type, not german. Maybe they use it for crws fuel - beer...
Figurels looks good, too. Well painted. Details are shown very good. Metal parts of their guns should be black metal, not so shiny.
Ground work looks natural, only that bushes / lil trees made of wire i don`t really like.
