Super painting, lovely composition with a ‘bustle’ of activity.

Personally I would use sea foam trees to compliment your excellent groundwork rather than plastic ones.

Super work.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thank! I will experiment with trees and vegetation :-D

This is only the first diorama. How many more different figures I have! Now I'm preparing the next module) 8)

OwenChpw wrote:Wow very impressive. I especially like the fire. Also fantastic work on the minis of course. I may have to borrow ideas for my own knightly orders at some point.

Thank you! It will be interesting to see your work!

Bill Slavin wrote:Very nice! I love your controlled, crisp painting on the figures and the entire diorama is nicely conceived and executed. Well done!

Thank! I think it will be more interesting further, especially the moments of combat and hand-to-hand combat!

Leonid,
nice video. First time that I access a XiaoYing base.
To my mind - and because I am curious  - you can do more close-ups. Your work more than deserves it and it increases our pleasure watching. I know it's probably not easy with a camera, but... please try. Otherwise, the photos are phantastic, otlitchnij, podritzauchtche,...

Fantastic painted knight and horses.
And all are in a different pattern painted!

The most I like is the inequality of the three rows. The horses do not run all parallel into the same direction. Some slightly to the right and to the left but forward.
And how the last row on the left flank run into the second one without doing so.
I mean a static scene with so much dynamic.

And the first row (without one knight) hold the lances combat ready.
For the second row not all but they are going to be ready for action.
Top paint work, full of ideas and a logical or interesting arrangement.

Small things. They make the difference for me.

Yes, that's exactly what I tried to portray a scene where there is no clear order in the ranks. Still, this is not an equestrian sport festival)))
Here the Teutons can be portrayed as more organized)

Hi Leonid

I am somewhat late to comment. I love your diarama, too. The painting and composition are really a great success.
In particular, I admire the crests. By design and style they apear really late-medieval or gothic to me - OK, it is Polish version of Gothic.
For French knights I have a big problem in that everything that looked like a crest was destroyed during the revolution. Only a few well-known survived and you can find them everywhere. It is much easier to find English or German (also Austrian and Swiss) crests. Maybe you have alreay shown your sources for the Polish ones.
Keep up the great work
Michael

What a very impressive cavalry charge! I'm happy I'm not on the receiving end. Beautifully painted figures in a very convincing setting.

Greetings, Michael!
Thanks for your feedback! These Polish coats of arms were declared in the early Middle Ages. They were probably portrayed in a later style. But the French coat of arms may be useful to you: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kategorie ... geschlecht
