Napoleonic Wars Buildings Kickstarter

Posted by sansovino on 16 Nov 2020, 12:40

Jens Najewitz has started a new Kickstarter to the theme Napoleonic Wars - actually mostly with buildings around Waterloo, but eventually he will expand it also to other Napoleonic battlefields like Saxonia or Austria - I hope!
The quality of his buildings is high. I have bought already some of his campaigns and was never disappointed. And everybody can print the buildings in the scale which he desires. If the supporters of the Kickstarter are growing, he will add still more and more buildings.

The kickstarter project is still growing and includes already many new buildings for the Waterloo and Germany Campaigns of Napoleon.
A good 3d-printer is nowadays affordable around € 300 and the printing is quite easy - only the printing needs still some time: a 2 storey-house often 20 till 24 hours.

Really sensational buildings. I printed out and painted the first houses for a Quatre Bras project.

But when I see the beautiful things for Leipzig 1813 of the 2. Kickstarter, I would like to start right away this topic. (Link to 2. Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/3d ... le_created )

My good friend Thomas Mischak sent me these wonderful pictures the other week and very impressive the buildings are too.

My research for Quatre Bras was a mountain of confusing images and misinformation until the brilliant Stoney pictures were brought to my attention.

They were painted only days after the action and to my mind are the most authentic representations of the original structures.

Whilst not illustrated the Dresden and Leipzig structures whilst undoubtably enormous are gorgeous.

Best wishes,

Chris
