Some extras for my French Foreign Legion

Posted by Fire at Will on 27 Feb 2021, 12:53

I am always being tempted by add-ons to existing armies, so I had to add some more artillery and resting figures to my FFL

A very nice camp scene again from Strelets

The same scene to go with my earlier FFL.

I am also collecting the FFL range from Strelets. Can you recommend a good source for the different uniforms etc. ?

Your figs are really good looking again!

Why did you paint the uniforms in two different colors?

Trousers & Jackets - Vallejo Japanese uniform, Greatcoats - Humbrol Khaki with an Army Painter Soft Tone wash

I've two different French Foreign Legion forces one early (blue capote) and one late (khaki). The Rifs and Arabs have a choice of which to fight. And really there is a third, a Platoon of Fighting French with my WW2 British 8th Army

Sorry Mabo, I can't suggest a single source I worked out the uniforms by trawling through all my books on related subjects and searching the internet. The uniform colour was based on quotes that they wore a mustard shade of Khaki drill,

Nice work. Quite the divergent combination....Artillery with Rest and Relaxation. The artillery pieces are my favorite. Interesting to see the same gun on 2 different limbers. Happy modeling.
