A Wraith king

Posted by PhilC on 20 Mar 2021, 20:49

Good evening everyone! Clearing my desk before spring, I have painted a figure that was there for a long time - a spectre from a range of figures designed for Battlelore 2nd edition - not exactly 1/72, but not too big in my opinion.
This spectre is now meant to be a wraith king that is commanding my Undead army - he managed somehow to replace my previous vampire general

I hope that you will find him frightening enough to drive this horde of skeletons and zombies :-D

Don't forget to hold a few creations in reserve for the final 24 days before Xmas.

Do you suppose it is too early to order my chocolate advent calendar for 2021?

Brrrrr!!
Scary.

When you do wargaming with these you incude extra morale rules for adversaries and you can at all times adapt rules to your needs, no? In any case a good option so that beginners have a winning chance
Lots of fun

Thank you again for your kind comments :)

I'm mainly using GW paints. The base color for the skeletons is a color called Zandri Dust. The next step is to add a dark brown wash ("Agrax Earthshade" in GWish), then several layers of highlights with Zandri Dust mixed with more and more white, usually 3 or 4 layers.

Hope it helps :)
