Perhaps Hebridean more than Highlander might be more accurate?

The boat seems to be smooth hulled (carvel-built) which isn't traditional. Clinker built is the more usual.

Throw in some red, lateen sails & it'd be a Sgoth Niseach.

I saw one when in the harbour at Stornoway when I was last on Lewis.

Regardless, I think it is lovely! If we can have penguins in the Arctic, surely we can accommodate carvel built boats!

This is specialists knowledge, what I should have heard about in an earlier stage ---next Time, I promise. Thank you! But I have done, what I was bet to do.....I have spent more effort in the salmon. Do you think it is right? (never before painted fish....)

Very nice idea! Don't think we've had many fishermen here. I remember Alex converted one of his figures to a fisherman and maybe Michel have made one, but I think that's it.

Boy, did I sound hyper-critical. My apologies: I was just offering some background comment & really should have written they are lovely models, painted with skill that shows both character, life&movement. Nice work on the tartan, too, which could be a Lamont sett which is my father's clan.

Indeed, the "grey-beard" looks a little like a photo I have of my grandfather, who was a weaver rather than a fisherman but I'm sure lowered a rod for salmon on occasion.

I rather cook them. Or some smoked salmon between some toast and with some mozarella, delicious!
