Painted Eimhar Saxon warrior box

Posted by blacksmith on 17 Aug 2021, 16:16

I've just finished this box for a small Dark Ages project. After this I'm painting a Viking Zvezda box to have some skirmishes with both of them.
Tabletop level painting with quick lights mostly waist upwards and with no shield designs. They are based on 2 cent coins.

They look fantastic, straight out of the ‘ Lost Kingdom’.

Super painting and looking suitably violent.

Best wishes,

Chris

Have the figures, but haven't painted that many yet. Think I've painted one and put him with napoleonics as a re-enactor. Very inspiring!

Wonderfully painted figures, with that great variety of bright colours, Javier. I also support the request for close-up pictures to better appreciate the details. ;-)

That is precisely what my little project is about! I'm planning to play a campaign with the THW ruleset Great Hall Burning but maybe with some tweaks.

There is also Warrior Heroes and Advetures in Talomir which I re-wrote for Ed, but I want something with little units and not singles miniatures, something like SAGA in scale but THW mechanics.

Good Lord you wrote Warrior Heroes and Adventures!!?? Well my humble experiment I combined the reaction table from Colonial Adventure and the fighting mechanics from Chain Reaction Swordplay the old version. Unfortunatly I goofed up quite a few rules so we are going to have another play test next week.

But there is already a specific ruleset for that, similar to Colonial adventure, one is specific for Viking era which is Great Hall Burning, and another one and much older and generic which I think it was called Warrior Heroes Warbands. I think this last one is being revamped at the moment.
