All are numbered and have written out upon them: Top.
i could have used an arrow to show the direction of each upright stand,but did not.
But Y the numbers? Because BB, likes e'm. Why? Because of infinity.
Well there's not enough room in my head for infinity, but Y ain't there a bottom?
Because if there were there would be no need for Top! Really?



All the sides have been glued into place making sure they are the right way up.



Marking the Top , means all the marked out shelving lines match up.



The marked out lines are above on sci fi wobbling view.

And so it was that for me another day of lazy typing has begun.

i thought to show you below some of my classic children's book collection.



i wanted to make a jack in the box with some tiny Jack upon the spring to add more interest to the wondering eye.
However a little box or even two of ,'Punch & Judy', will certainly have to do.
Do you think that Punch done away with Judy?
I bet he ate the Crocodile?





These show the backs,
so i'll fix another side to them to form a complete cover.
A scratch-builder must make do and mend. or mend and make do.



Peter Pan an open cover book from 1954 which is a very rare find.



The shrinking down process has begun.



All the books will be a feast of four and here above is the first strip of four.

i happen to love old books too, especially the emotive colourful children's book's; a subject i myself have studied and taught with a passion for artistic authors delight. In the past if books of age were not attractive to the eyes and hearts of adults, they would've never have bought them in the first place for their over eager children. BB

This got me a thinking,
Some people collect nothing but dust,
others stamps and post cards,
others keyrings, and money,
and lots more take photographs and film of birds
or whatever their eyes can see. 1st Amendment Auditors!

As for myself i collect the dreams that appear for free in my head,
and sometimes like my books of many colours it is good Beano Boy Fun.
In my own small way because of being inactive i too ,collect dust,
but Mrs B, Vax cleans me from time to time. BB

Thanks for your comment and input Peter,and for the You Tube Link. It is interesting how an interchange of encouragement coupled with bright ideas can help any artist author on this Forum, and not just little old me.



i like classic posters too.

Today i wrote a long piece on this topic, but alas forgot to save it,so it all went for nothing, but i guess this has happened to other members too?
It is always happening to BB, mentioned the well read Bookworm.

No doubt things will certainly develop as the library grows and yes more book space is up and coming in more ways than one ,with the blue prints fresh within my mind. Our evergreen gardens came into being, because my philosophy has always been one,that up is free space, and so stairways are planned for the library.

Eh so up is free is it, but who is going to pay for it? Asked WingNut.
our bb, will because his motto is; it is all spent money anyway.
All that one needs is a built up stash of wonderful things to cut and divide up.
Mr Green,sure is on the ball today Pards. Eh,what ball is that then?

The stairs in the library remind me of the Escher type stairs used in the library tower in the film The Name of the Rose. You certainly can win a prize constructing one of those

Down... There you go Michael.

All is ready for repetitive copying then printing.
i bought a new printer that will reduce the rows of books to be printed.
It uses refills from large size ink bottles to refill four plastic reservoirs.
The large inks will save me lots of cash and will in time help pay for this new printer.

The stairs i will look forwards to making.
i actually within the tower of Hougoumont i built the stone stairwell inside that.
Of course that was Donkeys Years ago.



Parts for 24 book stands were cut out in the wee small hours of the morning,
while all around me the little house slept.
My ears actually rang out in the dead silence of the night,
i believe the constant noise level from the main road had stopped due to petrol being rationed.





Another front cover and a rare copy of dear Alice from 1954 printed in the U S A.
So there will be twelve parts printed out to construct four of these tiny books.

What is so special about Alice ?
well wingnut, alice shrank down too after drinking from the drink me ,bottle . Replied the highly confidant Button. Of course many here should remember that the Little Button, never speaks in capital letters. Why is that then? Search me, go ask BB.


Now i must return to my typing.

These are double open book covers which should look cool when printed and folded over a length of layered paper card. i find lots of books on pinterest! clicking on the picture i then click 'Google search for the original picture', and there behold i find lots of them all free of spammed on shop symbols.



My strips of the finest paper card i'd cut out earlier has been engraved on both sides using a Bic Pen. It only involves pressing down hard, and so these are now ready for painting. i am using the cheapest acrylic paint as it dries in a few minutes, and above all it does not smell the house out with toxic fumes.



Above is the Doc's little to look at Police box book.



It is now true that i have lots of book covers on file, but each day i am shown a little more on line that catches my enthusiastic willing eye. And so it was that this whole length was done in seconds sweeping the whole page on the result of Google Search.

Sci Fi is a must to have on any book shelf and i lucked in when i found these awesome open book covers. The new printer will down size them even more later ,and they will always easily fold over glued up paper card in seconds. i have manage to obtain whole books with printed pages with illustrations and one being a very old copy of 'Beauty and the Beast'. i like that story a lot.

This being just one of the pages. It will make a cool arts and craft project for my Great, Great, Grand Children to do on Zoom, as we Mrs B,and i are still in self isolation. i am well and quite used to it.

New Find Above

Absent for 9 days means this is rather a large post as the work piled up with the ticking tock of time.




Outside the dark of a stormy rage was falling upon our little garden here in Fiddle Wood all week.While inside our house It had been a very bright busy hobby style few days, and all had been scribed out. There are seven pieces in each raft like pile, that can be glued into place after painting them.



Not all of them were upon my table,because others sat side by side stretched out upon one of the large inner window sill's.

There being 34 in this batch some of which had some of their pieces already painted. So with the 18 units already made and painted the combined number of books housed will be around 4,160 which is kind of staggering for a Beano Boy like me. Not giving in to illness, means i enjoy life for what it is to me. The poet Dylan Thomas once wrote,'Do not go gently into the good night.' Yes i understand that.





i decided to paint two coats of paint then glue the whole batch up at one little table top adventure. To save me little o'll eyes from over straining i left the engraved guide line as you can hopefully see it. The first batch caused lots of trouble eye wise that is, Not eye wise at all BB ?That's right Mr Green,so now i could take perfect aim and stick the pieces into the intended slot provided very quickly indeed.



15 were already awaiting completion upon my production line so after painting another 19,i would blitz my way through the lot.

New Find

For the community that make or buy little books, the Alice Books remain the top favourite. It is the classic cover art of display that appeals mostly to me,and yes they keep popping up near enough every day. So i will print out a few for presentation now and again.



The unusual use of table once more came into play.







Still using the right angle of my little table for pushing support the other side could be pressed home into upright place.



And so it was the first of this batch of 34 was put together in spite of my trembling fingers. Paulus, is willing and really that is all that counts.



Percy was impressed.

but bb, likes the skin formed on top anyway. What a strange old Norman boy he is. After all he is a Hatter from that school.

i used the ruler as a tool in more ways than one.



Stood on end it helped me keep the shelves upright true and square to each side too. Well after all it is actually a small sized set square. Yes indeed, confirmed the highly educated Book Worm.



With the production line facsimiles falling up into laying down mode...



They were stacking up to make space for others to tumble down into upright layered place. BB, certainly likes his trotting patterns of galloping oxymorons.

THE LIBRARY

It seems without any plan for it, from the idea to make the first book, to those of the last ones made, to the first paper card shelf falling up into space ,then all those others following suit, well it dawned upon me that this Library is being constructed from the inside out, and therefore not from the outside walls in. Crazy! Well why not ? after all there is only one bb.
Entry in this journal BB, has always been back to front and of course upside down on most things.
Yes Siree ,but always forward in speaking to others.
Very true,like here and now no matter when this is looked at and read.
All in all everything must have a beginning and an end... is that not so?
Although saying that now there are still some good ideas coming upon the blank pages ahead. BB

Oh BB,
now you are reinventing Taylorism.
Imagine that I am just leaving a working position where my objective was to optimize all these production steps to increase output. After having played the whip for some 4 years I am actually relieved to do something else.
