Hello Finally I can pull myself together and show my last work. I have made the Dio Quasi 2 times. once with the figures from Streelets. Some figures I have rebuilt myself. Matchbox, Revell and Esci. The figures from Streelets are out of the box. I worked from a model photo.
There is not much to see, so I had enough artistic freedom. Have fun with the bids
Interacting figures. Figures on the stone at the car and the tea time group. The load of the trucks ! The color are in sand, brown, dark. Like it should be.
Tremendous modelling and photography. I like this scene very much. The attention to detail you have put into this diorama is also awesome....I note for instance that the front wheels of the right hand (facing picture) truck are turned inwards as they are in the original photograph. Great use also of the Strelets figures.
The desert war is one of my favorite topics and this realization of a very cool photo is right up my alley. Soldiers seen during a moment of relaxation gives it such a human touch.
I love to see the new Strelets set so deployed, although frankly they may not be sculpts of a high enough quality to deserve this setting.
Very nice! I love the theme - breaking for tea was a British trait, certainly! I remember reading a D-Day account where they did exactly that after storming a stronghold. Thank you for sharing the picture without the tarpaulin as well so we can see your beautiful figures. Looking closely I get a bit confused as a figure in the back of the truck disappears in other photos. You say you built the dio twice, so I expect we are looking at different versions? A nice little mystery…
