Happy Orctober!

To celebrate Orctober I put aside my Vikings and hastily painted one miniature of each pose from the Dark Alliance Orcs Set 1 box.
They look better in the flesh I must say. Next ones will be with black armour instead of metal, but once I finish painting all Vikings.
In the pics they look like they need their eyes painted but from tabletop distance you can't tell.

Never noticed that about the shields, but you're right. Only in set 3 you find one with the shield forward.

Yes, I suppose that way it is easier to cast models but it totally spoils the miniature in my opinon. Nobody would use a shield like that. Cheers,

Nobody would use a shield like that.

Hm, I´m not a specialist on orcs, but I seem to remember they are not known for their brightness. Maybe they think shields are only useful after battle, to serve the corpses of the fallen for dinner?

I think they use them as umbrellas to block sunlight.
