This is totally lovely! And charming! And wonderful! Reminds me little of an old Swedish children's show (well, I wasn't really a child when it was aired, but we only had two channels so we watched just about everything. And this show started with two friends building a Wild West city in scale 1/32 and converting Airfix WW2-figures to peaceful farmers and then it evolved o something entirely else)

One of your best projects if you ask me... maybe I'll steal this idea one day... long, long time from now :xd:

Wow, you really have outdone yourself, Wiking. I find the close ups confusing to the eye in their hodgepodge of detail, but hten you pull back on your shot and it all comes together. What a massive project - I wish I could spend time with it face to face.

A true feast for the eyes. And the brain. And the soul.

I really like all your projects, but this one stands out, even from them.

Are you entering this in a diorama competition or some such?

Thank you all for your very nice comment.

Yes, I will participate with that Dio in a competition too . But the Corona situation reduce this plan actual to zero.

I am right now try to show it in a German Sci fi modelling Forum. If I get the GO email from the Moderator of that forum.
That is an unusual step for me. In BFF the very most of my work is exclusively shown here.

Well here’s hoping they say “yes” in that famous German Sci Fi modeling forum.

We can always hang out in here, yet branch out as needed as Cryns, Kekso, Durschmidt, and many others have done.

Great work Erik! I'm much enjoying all the small stories, funny details and amazing characters.

It´s a famous trick of Erik: starting with photo's of close-up details, making you totally confused about the ensemble, only to finish with some overview pictures putting everything in place.

The final result is fantastic! I told you in the WIP section that I admire your imagination.

How do you start a project like this? Drawings? Or just have a look in the spare box and start building? :eh:

Yes, Peter that is a very important question.
I do check several sci fi city, tower drawings, wallpaper, pictures in the internet. A great source of great artists for that. In my humble opinion.
I try to focus on the main plan. The street canyon and a tower. A kind of Chinese junk. And the robot from Cavico was a stork of fortune. And in particular I do what you wrote: ... have a look in the spare box and start ...
You can find in each pic a used idea for my Dio.

And the competitor.

So yes Bluefalichon I have done.
At the Euro Model Expo in Lingen (Germany) 26/27.03.2022.

Sorry for the bad pic quality.
(Done with my sellphone, handy, smartphone or whatever you call the thing in your hand.)

I do not know right now why I can`t send my camera pic into my computer,
transform it and then you can see the pic , as always.
I can watch my new made pic in my camera but they will not be transported as usual into my computer.
? ? ?
If I find a solution I will send a few pic of models from the EME in Lingen (26/27 03.2022)

Hooray!!! A blue ribbon for a gold medal!

As a BFF contributor, I feel proud and, to a tiny degree, responsible for this win.

Great job Wiking!!!!!!!!
