Davy Jones

Posted by PhilC on 19 Dec 2021, 18:24

Dear fellow forumers, my apologies for my lack of activity these last months.
Today, I could find time (and mojo) to paint my first mini after the Gobelin chariot made in October. This figure represents a pirate, the famous Davy Jones.

Image

The challenge is to paint a fierce character that spends most of his time under water, so the figure must look wet, covered with shells and seaweed... and not friendly

Image

Hope you like him :)

Fabulous paintjob! Suitably wet, slimy, and ancient looking.

Usually I don't much like this figure, because I didn't much like the movie character, but You've won me over with this splendid rendition. Well done indeed.

I had a look at your blog and was pleased to see that you got a recent comment from someone I haven't seen post here for a while. Given the current circumstances it's good to know folks are OK.
