Painted some more figures last month and was able to base them. After taking pictures I saw that I have to do some retouches on some figures. Must do that one of the days.

Some random pictures of the individual bases.

Very colourful work on these ancient men. The pink ones are a little over the top for me, to be honest, but it is just mho and a question of taste. ;-)

Cool washing on the skin colour! :yeah:

I like the lightness and subtle shadings, the skin tone is great too.

A colorful bunch, for sure! Great work on the bronze armour. The gold works very good with the wash you have applied

Beautifully painted figures, Peter.
As already said by some above: the skintone and bronze armour are very well done.
Good washing too. :yeah:
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I like how the bodies are painted especially. Large flesh areas are notoriously tough to paint. Just need a figure of Goliath in the middle. He had some brothers too, didn't he? Also I don't see any pink, I see violet but my eyes are getting older.

Cool washing on the skin colour! :yeah:

Thanks Jan! I wanted to paint them with as much as possible different colors. And pink was one of them. Matter of taste as you say but they don't look bad I think! ;-)

Howlin wrote:I like the lightness and subtle shadings, the skin tone is great too.

Thanks Jacob! Skin is Revell 35 Flesh and Games Workshop Reikland Fleshshade. ;-)

Thanks Ben! It's gold (Vallejo) indeed with Games workshop Agrax Earthshade. ;-)

Thanks Patrick! I give this figures first a white base. Then the kilts get a grey wash and after that I drybrush them with white again. After that I add the other colors like the skin, armor and the colors on the kilts. ;-)

Minuteman wrote:Fine work on these colourful warriors of the Ancient World. And nicely based too.

Thanks Mark! I keep the bases quite simple. Base color of sand and then drybrush with some lighter colors. Dryed grass is from Games Workshop. ;-)

Susofrick wrote:Very nice figures! That I don't want to meet! They look vicious!!!

Thanks Gunnar! They sure are! Other period but a bit like this: :sparta: :-D

Thanks David! There are two pink painted figures between them. A bigger figure like Goliath? Something like this: :-D

He is really a bit bigger as the other figures. Have a look here:

I really like what you've done with these, Peter. I was aware of the old HaT set but not these. Your handling of their faces, beards and skin tones is most impressive.

I agree with them, Peter. Really the skin was the first thing that catches my eye...and the bright colours the second. Great work!

Cool! I am painting the same figure these days (just the caesar ones though), but mine are not as colorful as yours. Nice job there.
