Roman Legion on the March

Hello everyone. I want to rethink the 72 scale and design it better. I hope it will work out. Here is the first job.

A little dark, but looks nice. Just wonder if it is kind to the footsoldiers to put the cavalry behind them. Okay, they'll march to the front better and probably faster, but they'll probably hinder the cavalry. Don't know, we didn't have cavary where I made military service. We would sureley have needed some cavalry behind us, but that is another thing. :-D

It looks nice but in my opinion you need smaller cobbles to make the road! ;-)

Nice basing, Elsi. I find the use of streaking on the horses’ flanks interesting - a very original painting style!

Looks very good! I agree with Peter about the road. Would be nice to get some close-ups with better lighting to admire your work!

A pity the pictures are a bit dark but they do look nice.

The road ‘flags’ are as stated too large.

Gravel etc is easily represented by chinchilla dust or sand.

Paving is a bit more involved unless you use a commercial product.

Fish aquarium gravel might be an option, I use it for walls.

Best wishes,

Chris

I agree about dark pictures and cobbles... but I like figures and green parts of groundwork.

Great looking figures, and you obviously put great effort in! Echoing everyone else, the cobbles are a tad large lol
