"On the road to Jerusalem" Pit Stop

Posted by Michel on 19 Apr 2022, 08:33

Today I´ll show another Diorama, which I´ve finished a few days ago.
This time a medieval Blacksmith, somewhere in medieval Europe on the way to jerusalem...
The Forge is from Tabletop World, created for 28mm, but fits perfect for 1/72.
...in my opinion! ;-)

Fabulous work with great groundwork, painting and composition in my opinion.

There is something ‘Hansel and Gretal’ with the forge appearance but the whole thing is lovely.

Splendid stuff.

Best wishes,

Chris

Excellent scene you have created, like Chris I agree the groundwork, trees, figures all work very well together. A necessary stop for sure and even the figures look relaxed as if taking advantage of a brief layover. Very original work.

That is a great piece! I would agree, very nice groundwork and the whole theme has a very peaceful feel to it. They look as if they still have a long way to go before getting to Jerusalem - and know it!

How long did it take to walk from Paris to Jerusalem during this troubled era? Let's day during the Third Crusade...

Breathtaking Michel. Miniature modelling doesn’t get much better than this. Congratulations……..this work is truly magnificent.
Just out of curiosity what make of figures are predominant?

So many wonderful details going on in such a relatively small space. The groundwork and house really are of the highest quality.

A superb diorama with great modelling skills and lots of imagination.
