A very special competition came to an end. There were great entries and again I really was not sure about winning this one. Congratulations to all contributors!!!
When I started this little vignette, I had no Idea how sadly fitting the depicted topic would be. I much more thougt about facing one of Kostis´ amazing works in the upcoming 53 th. PC. So I tried to give my best by adding new techniques to my repertoire, like NMM (non metallic metal) and OSL (object sourced lighting). Then I heard Kostis has died and the next PC would be in his honour. So I tried even more to give my best and honour him with a great competition.
Regarding the new techniques, I am very satisfied with some, and I still do not like how others came out but that is the process of learning...
Anyways, I am glad you guys liked it, so here are some pictures:
The modelling phase:
I really struggled to find the right colour-scheme. Her robe went from white (with platinum blonde hair), to black, to gold and then black (with red hair) again. Still not sure if it was the right choice of painting it black and not white, but this way it gave me more contrast and made the OSL a bit more glowing.
