Stood upon a large plastic tub made it easier for my hands
to work out a pleasing pattern to the eye of this little tree.

One full yogurt pot of my own rail road wet water was soaked into this tree top endeavour.



The rock hard canopy dried by this mornings photo shoot.

Hat 1/72 scale figure the last man from his command of 600.

Needing all the help i can trace throughout the fantasy universe i hired a few more of these bright individuals for the building site.

Another large tree the 14th to be precise stands dripping slowly from the wet water.



Almost a yogurt pot full of the stuff remained deep within the tree top foam mix.



Some loose flock scatered upon the base soon soaked up the wet shower from the tree and was easily brushed off for use somewhere else. As for the tree itself of abstract shape and design it was all 100% rock hard.

As i use lots of this for scratch-building my advice is this will stop the screw top from bounding tight gripped to the can.

Absolutely spiffing these trees BB….. . To be super critical I would say that so much work has gone into the trunks and the finished effect is so good that the one shade green canopy hardly does them full justice (in my honest and opinion). Apologies if they’re not finished yet?

This is very inspiring for me. Still have my 18-odd wire trees in a bucket in the hobby room. Just have to get some time, courage and inspiration to start with them. And this thread help me with the last two.

THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS

i often find courage and inspiration may come in many shapes and forms,like for instance opening a bag of fine flour for a simple photo shoot.

Of course like Gunnar,one must have a facsimile of a tree,
or like little round podgy me,a F.R.E.D.



For all those not knowing a thing about fred, he is a happy go lucky fellow of heart who first came to light upon this very Forum,many years ago.




But for Fred,things tend not to work out to plan.



However he would always find his way home to Fiddle Wood,
with MayBell, Bella our dog,Mrs B and of course me,BB.

This is not good,but it ain't that bad either, what it is, is a rock solid learning curve presentation achieved thus far upon a very moderate budget indeed.



Throughout the entire length of Pandemic and the proceeding War, up until recently the tree stacks laid upon one of my bench tables. Some i sent out to land fill,others i kept. Like those Gunnar, has. i also have some that are sleeping lazily without bases in black plastic bags.

Here i would hid the soldier within such a tree line,and use one of my cameras as if a drone,to try find him.



Well most certainly he is there,somewhere which means i'm glad he's not painted in the full.




Beyond the sharp pointed Hawthorn hedgerow,stand the first line of much taller tree's,and yes i do have the means to muddle a collage of woodland colours, but i can only work on one block of tree's a week at this present time.



The paint i use is cheap as fish and chips! Or two cup's of highstreet coffee.

Colour can also be added to the wet water mixture in a venture to add differing colours.It is best not to do the ground cover work first because it will drip little blots about the base,and so guys that is why mine are left flat and rather bland.
It was perhapes 3 years ago or more that i mentioned using dry tea to lay the woodland trail out.

Before i hit the lonesome typing trail, that's it for now.

Well it seems the emotive language writen,did serve my purpose,because now there is not a single feather in this wide open space. Well done Peter,but no spurs this time. BB

Another tree another blend was stuck into white glue space.



The only thing added to the glued up area was little pieces like this.




i will let this white glue dry leaving a good grounding ,for when the next thick glue is added for sticking the entire canopy on. BB
