Hello
In principle they built a nice diorama. With 2 small blemishes. The figure of Dak stands with his sleeves up, while others are seen in thick winter clothing.
The machine gunner 2 also has a hand in the snow. He is not involved in all the action.
The snow rendered excellently
which is not easy on our scale. The figure painting also suggests great skill and I like it very much.

My advice for characters is: Put yourself in the character. Would they sit with one hand in the snow, or sometimes figures stand in front of gun barrels or tank tracks.

Jürgen

P:S.
As you can see from my name, I am also from Germany. If you want we can make a call.

Yes, I agree with Jurgen. Very nice painting, but the DAK figure with rolled sleeves is under-dressed for this chilly mountain-side. But very skillful painting, fine work!

Fantastic diorama, tullo, both the figures and the scenery.

I suppose that the rare flowers could be edelweiss, couldn't they?

A nice idea and there is a real chill emanating from this diorama.

The Airfix Mountain troops were always a favourite with me many years ago.

I think the troops would be gloved as they were an elite unit with proper winter gear and the officer, as stated is certainly a hardy fellow.

The flower idea is nice but as a gardener, it would be snuggled down until spring at the earliest.

However, great painting, groundwork etc and the cold leaps out at you.

Well done.

Best wishes,

Chris

Nice. Reminds me of an old Swedish song where the girl lures the boy who loves her to climb up the highest mountain and pick an Edelweiss for her. Of course it doesn't ends well (it's that kind of song), he picks the flower but lose his footstep and falls to his death. And I think the girl realize what she have done and kill herself. Quite horrible song! And there where A LOT of similar around 1900. Anyhow, nice dio. :-D

Very nice painting and an interesting composition. I do think, however, that you should have taken advantage of the odd, disengaged pose of the machine gunner and placed a flower in his hand. In one stroke you will have given a reason for the odd hand position and his clearly distracted attitude that has had him do such an unlikely thing as put his bare hand in the snow! :xd:

I love it!

But why didn't the sitting figures wear gloves to protect his hands before he handled the rope? :eh:

I had some guys in my unit who weared just a T-shirt in winter. they didn't feel the cold!
