FlakpanzerIV Ostwind

Posted by JurgenH on 21 Apr 2023, 03:29

Hello and good morning.

Today is the day for the gallery.

I would like to write something about this. The Ostwind was built in Duisburg by the Duisburg Ironworks until the end of 44. At the end of 44, production was assigned to East Germany, since Duisburg was already under artillery fire by Allied forces lay: Today, Duisburg is a city with about 500,000 inhabitants, located on the Rhine next to Düsseldorf. Since Duisburg is my hometown, I was happy, that's what Dio can show in. To Dio: The vehicle crew has familiarized itself with the vehicle. The plant manager and his secretary give the marching orders to the crew. The crew can easily cover the few kilometers to the front with the tank. If you have any questions in connection with the creation of the Dios, you are welcome to ask them, I will of course answer them. But now to the pictures and have fun with them .

Hi Jürgen,

wonderful dio, I love it. I have seen the making of the Ostwind, but havn't seen the making of the dio base.
Good job on both of them.
Will you be joining the model exhibition in "Holzminden" in June and presenting your models there?

But it's straight off the production line! :xd:

A really nice dio. Great work on the factory and a very unusual take on a WWII diorama I didn't see your WIP's but I assume the building is based on some archival photos from your hometown?

For Kekso: it is a new Tank, for this reason a light weathering.
For Bill Slavin: Noit is viktiv. The base is a reply of a Preiser garage.
Thanks for the nicr words at all.

Superb modelling and work on this fine diorama. And placing it in an appropriate time in your hometown of Duisburg is a nice touch. Well done!
