Very impressive. I like the irregular shape of the Display, the pebbles and earth jutting out of the edges. It makes a kind of interesting contrast of raw brutality and tiny detailed miniatures - It's art!

Not sure I like the irregular edge around the landscaping (i.e. it looks like there is one large part of the base that seems uncovered; see bottom right part in second picture).

I am sure I like it. and just about everything else about it too.

Thank you very much Al and Thousand thanks at ALL. To make figures( moulding and painting) building the wood base and make diorama I spent 10 days work (calculate 8hours for a day).
At the moment I make a little scene (2 or 3 figures) ww1 assault to trench for commissioned of my Belgian friend , no painted.
For my advance on a foto recostrution of Crimea war a group( 13 figures) of 8th british Hussars.

Wonderful realistic figures which are painted impressive, but I don´t unterstand the title "The charge of light horse brigade" - what happened with the horses?

When The Australian Light horse transferred to Gallipoli from Egypt the horses had to be left behind.

When news of the Gallipoli landings and the subsequent stalemate arrived in Egypt many of the Light Horsemen (probably all of them) actually volunteered to leave their horses behind so they could go and join the fight. Which was a big deal because they loved their horses. Many men brought their own horse along when they came to enlist and man and horse joined up together.

The Light Horse were remounted after the Gallipoli campaign but true to form for the Army it seems there was not much thought given to giving troopers back their original horse. I've heard stories of a lot of searching and horse trading going on for a bloke to be reunited with his mate.
