At last, after some months of forced silence, here I’m again with some new posting…
Oh boy, these make me sweat every stroke of brush! I don’t know how you guys manage to paint these Napoleonic uniforms but, for me, it is really difficult to deal with so many buttons, cuffs, lapels and belts… my eyes getting too tired and my hands too wobbly for such an stress test…
Anyhow, here they are Peter!
The Pavloski Grenadiers were the sole unit keeping the obsolete Mitre as a headwear all along the Napoleonic wars. On 1813 they become a Guard Regiment.
Figures are Italeri and Hat, the later from their 1805 Russian Line Infantry set with some head swaps. I have painted them for Eylau (they wore greatcoats there) and Friedland’s period, the main battles of 1807 Poland campaign.
