I want to learn more about that fascinating labor organization of yesteryear, the MGU.

They were quite powerfull at the time. There was a plethera of such unions, For example;
CAMGU. Co Axial Machine Gunners Union,
AAMGU, Anti Aircraft Machine Gunners Union
RMRHMGU - Royal Marines Reserves Heavy Machine Gunners Union. They tended to stick to just using the letters as the fully written out titel didn´t look so good on a car bumper sticker and, the ACBSA (Anti car Bumper Stickers Association) got an act through Parliament that condemed the fully written out Version as a distraction to other road users.

Sergeant Matchbox: "A high vehicle, tank, without a rotating turret."

Sergeant Italeri: "Kraut`s one? Can`t see stars."

Sergeant Matchbox: " And me meathead thought we will do an invasion next? Its`s green, maybe one of us.

Sergeant Italeri: "OD please! A gun with that kind of muzzle brake ?"

Sergeant Matchbox: "In a German Stug three gun mount ?"

Sergeant Italeri: "Do we have a lend and lease contract with Adolph for 7,5cm ammo?"

Sergeant Matxchbox: "For sure. Ford build trucks for the Wehrmacht, too."

Sergeant Italeri: " The gun is fixed. No move by some degree possible !"

Sergeant Matxchbox: " No bow Browning ?"

Sergant Italeri: " The Russian told us about a Porsche tank without a bow MG. Instead they shot with an MG across the 8.8 gun. Now they have solved that problem by returning the Porsche, Ferdinand and make a hole for an bow MG. Now the Krauts call it Elephant".

Sergeant Matxchbox: " A Fritz driver viewing slit ?"

Sergeant Italeri: "But hey ! A Sherman chassis."

Sergeant Matxchbox: "Then it`s all OK."

Unusual vehicle

The Machine Gunners went wrong by splitting up into so many subgroups.

United Machine Gunners of the Commonwealth, now that would have packed some punch!
