I've been neglectful of the forum, so to make amends here's my latest update to my Hougoumont project. It's the biggest task I've undertaken and the area just soaks up troops. Thanks Emperor, definitely storage - each section needs a box, which takes up a lot of space.

Thanks everyone, there's quite a bit of 'snagging' here to resolve - too many bases are visible but I'll sort all that out and put another Airfix battalion on the model.

Thanks everyone, to answer your question Rich, I think my Belle Alliance gives me the most pleasure - I like the long column of troops coming down the road. I also like large blocks of troops interspersed with small vignettes of perhaps only a few figures. I get bored painting large numbers so it's a relief to paint unusual figures. I also enjoy conversions - Napoleonic figures tend to be in 'drill book' poses - sometimes it's fun to create more dynamic figures from other eras.

Black as night....the Brunswick Leib Battalion exits the covered way and heads towards the boundary between the garden wall and the orchard.











Quite a bit of work to do here - the tree bases are too visible and the faces look a bit pale. A mix of Hinton Hunt, S Range, RSM, Hagen and the new Strelets. Avant Garde to follow.
